I am a bodyworker and massage practitioner with a wide range of tools I weave into my sessions. At the core of my work is my passion for the language and wisdom of the body and the deeper understanding of the mind-body-consciousness. I approach the body with a curiosity of how what is presenting has manifested and what is happening under the surface.

Beyond my delicious Relaxation and Deeper Tissue massage work, I offer powerful Myofascial Release Therapy and Māori healing bodywork, both of which have the capacity to bring about deep shifts and releases, and to empower you to let go of what is in the way of a state of health and balance.

My services can be booked at my little bach in Piha and at the Life Centre in Ponsonby. A mobile service for treatments in your own home if you cannot travel may be possible.

You can train with us in our short and intensive courses designed to get you massaging quickly and effectively. Our courses do not burden you with written exams and irrelevant material. Instead, teachers demonstrate techniques which students practice while the instructor gives individual feedback.

One of the unique elements of Raynor massage is its holistic philosophy. We see the body as an integrated whole, understanding that problem-causing tension can manifest anywhere, even where symptoms are not immediately apparent. Our students learn to track and then remove ‘bands’ of tension that run through the body.

Traditional Eastern understandings of the body have always recognized how emotional tension can affect the physical body. Emotional stress, trauma and everyday living have an impact on the physical body – this leads to tension and tightness in muscles which often causes pain, restriction of movement and long term problems when untreated. We have three levels of Raynor Massage courses. The Online Raynor Naturopathic Massage Course is ideal for massaging friends and family or for getting started in a massage career. Our Professional Raynor Massage Certificate Course includes the online course plus 18 hours of hands on practice supervised by one of our teachers or the school principal Naturopath Brandon Raynor. Our Combined Certificates Course is a 7 day course that has a lot of practical content and is a must for anyone serious about learning Raynor Naturopathic massage.

Brandon’s style of massage is a combination of therapeutic massage, shiatsu, Thai massage, Chinese massage, Ayurvedic massage, joint adjustments and deep tissue massage. He has created many new massage techniques and he has discovered how muscular tension exists in the human body as bands of tension. His manner of teaching is down to earth and straight to the point.
