Hilton Auckland: what do users think?

Michelle Crain: Absolutely fantastic! Stayed in a lovely, clean, well kept, spacious room. An upgrade to a harbor side room with a balcony was well worth the expense. The buffet breakfast is located in the Fish restaurant space with grand views of the harbor. The breakfast offers a wide variety of items. Friday evening was wonderfully special because opera singers provide outstanding entertainment in the lobby with a talented pianist. Outstanding service! A gem.The location is a short walk from the Britomart transit station. Ferries leave from the nearby harbor regularly so rooms on the harbor side may notice low levels of sound from the ships. Cruise and container ships dock within view.Afternoon tea is an option for those inclined. Prompt room service delivery. Nice selection of wine, sparkling wine, cocktails, and beer in the bar.Rooms: Rooms are fitted with usb charging points as well as multiple outlets. Coffee in the room is provided for self-service.

Manuel Fortes: Location: 5/5

SO/ Auckland: what do users think?

Rachael W: Had a wonderful time celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. We decided to return after staying the previous year, and again, we weren't disappointed. We received a room upgrade and complimentary drinks at the rooftop bar. We felt well looked after. All staff were attentive and professional. Restaurant was top notch for breakfast. We had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend. Thanks SO!

Kami Hill: . I especially ejoyed the bathtub overlooking the city views from the room, and the well appointed gym.

Frances McCarthy: Was a lovely quite different place, rooms lovely, only a few small things would change but overall great!Facilities were soo good, and the drinks at the rooftop bar were good. The reception was amazing and so different, you would not think were in AKL, would do a staycation here again for sure 😊

Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour: what do users think?

Esther Metta: Very good location, shopping, restaurants and the port nearby. The wonderful service. THE spectacular breakfast.Rooms: huge clean and very good size bathroomsNearby activities: Shopping and restaurants. The port nearby and the ferriesWalkability: everything close and very illuminated

Ali van Barneveld: Stayed at Sofitel before in a lovely water facing room much higher up. The room we had this stay was on the 3rd floor facing bus depot and it dit make it feel a lot darker and far less luxurious. I would definitely request an higher room, water views next time! Understandably there is some evidence of outstanding repairs to be seen to following the flooding a year ago. The roof panel in the pool was stacked to one side. But the service and overall facilities still lovely. We always enjoy the pool and spa. Breakfast was generous in variety and offering. We went for pancakes and avo on toast, both delicious. They made my 5yo daughter feel very special. Would definitely stay again.

Mike Jenkins: Unbeknowns to us we booked sofitel on what was a supremely busy weekend in the city of sails. So after 3 hours on the motorway we were so stoked to finally arrive, have the sofitel team roll out the red carpet. From the valet parking to complimentary champers in the arrival lounge while our bags were whisked to our room.. the staff were amazing and ensured we had a very special anniversary weekend. We'll be back!

Hotel DeBrett: what do users think?

Ferren Stala: I thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay here. Our first room air conditioning was not working so they moved us immediately. Customer service was phenomenal. It had everything a hotel should, sound proof windows, slow/quiet close doors, bar, restaurant, double doors to floors for security. The location is perfect - walking distance to Queen Street, Albert Park, sky tower, and the harbor. They provide welcome drink vouchers and bath salts for the deep soak tubs. Note: You cannot open the windows since they have been soundproofed but I would rather have a quiet room.Nearby activities: Queen Street, viaduct harbor, Albert park, sky towerSafety: Felt very safeWalkability: Walkable to sights and attractions

Graham Warren: This is a superb little hotel in art nouveau style, recently refurbished. Has excellent restaurant. Highly recommended.

Andreas Salay: First the positive: great location, super nice, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and a nice bathroom.A little criticism: the toilet in the bathroom is just too small. We had breakfast included in the price and were allowed to choose something from a menu, although the individual prices were different. You were asked for a drink and that was it...No further questions about a second drink or whether you have another request...If I consider that there is a difference of NZ$ 15 between the cheapest and most expensive dish for breakfast, then I would ask for a second drink already wanted...And another little anecdote about the bar: it's only open until 9 p.m.We were there at 8:15 p.m. and waited 35 minutes for our order... and apart from us there were only 2 tables occupied with a total of 4 people... that's not possible for a hotel like this with the prices...

Miron Kostka: There are only good things to say about this hotel in all aspects. Great location, excellent room, very good service. Clean, cheap and atmospheric.Rooms: The room was clean, large, very well equipped.
