Have been CrossFitting since 2012 and fell in love with it quickly. Mixing exercise and competition was a natural attraction - which also drove the desire to compete and run competitions


From the love of competing came the brain child of Metcon Madness, and proudly acknowledge the effort of our coaching staff and members in making the event such a success.

Steph kind of fell into CrossFit through her past admin requirements working with Genesis Fitness. Being your A typical gym attendee, she became curious with the CrossFit community that led her to do an introduction - And the rest is history. Being a natural competitor, she became at home with the physical demands of the sport and regularly competes at various comps.


Favorite thing about CrossFit: Gaining new skills, hitting PBs & getting her first bar muscle up.

Wiz started CrossFit in late 2018, however maintained a large focus on playing football and frequent gym training. In mid-2018, Wiz decided to hang up his boots due to a second knee injury and shift his focus entirely to CrossFit. He aspires to be the best athlete he can possibly be & help the Remy Crew move more efficiently through his passion of unlocking mobility restrictions.

Clynt has 10 years of CrossFit training under his belt. Originally starting his journey as a stereotypical gym junkie; Mondays are for 'Chest & Biceps', his love for playing Rugby led him down a route of circuit type workouts - which looking back was similar and/or a scaled down version of CrossFit. A part from playing rugby all his life, he dabbled in MMA for a few years, also mainly for rugby fitness in the off-season.

Favorite thing about CrossFit: "the community and helping others achieve 1sts. No matter what it may be; Pull up, HSPU or a max lift, I get excited if not more so than the person who just achieved it - It's a rewarding feeling. I also love programming crazy, exciting workouts that people love!"

CrossFit is way more than just physical fitness - it’s a chance to be around a great group of people who like to have a laugh and take a real interest in you and your progression. For a lot of people starting something new can be a bit intimidating, so it’s important to me people feel welcome. I like to make sure our new starters have someone to chat to before class and introduce them to other members, so they feel part of the team. A lot of people have an opinion about CrossFit, most of them have never done it. I’d say come and have a chat, see what we do, and make up your own mind.

First introduced to CrossFit in 2019, Adrian became curious to the world of functional training performed at high intensity and ditched his classic gym training. What kept him in at the start wasn't the training itself, but the community that surrounds CrossFit - "Encouragement, suffering and laughing together felt like a second family, and I wish for new people to feel the same as I do." Through his experience of learning to push himself in his training, he has built a love for helping others achieve something they never thought was possible.

Favorite thing about CrossFit: Heavy squat cleans and bar muscle ups.
