Buy a strong used bicycle and have it customized to your needs. With its unique buyback guarantee you are much cheaper than renting a bicycle. The bike is not beautiful but technically in order. Bruce is an honest man, very flexible with very good service that goes further than just in Auckland. Thank you Bruce!

Adventure Cycles kindly agreed to be able to quickly fix us up with suitable bikes, panniers and any other cycling kit we might need.It was incredibly reassuring to know that if our bikes failed to materialise, then we would have an alternative option.As things turned out, our own bikes did eventually arrive.In hindsight however, flying without our own bikes and buying touring bikes from Adventure Cycles, would have been a sensible option. It certainly would have been less stressful!!!Their 50% buy back scheme is very good and well worth considering ..

Faraz Husain: I purchased 2 bikes from TradeMe and being a novice on Mt biking, I thought I'd get some expert opinion on the condition of the bikes from someone before I take them for a ride on the Woodhills. I was welcomed by Rob who took me through, in detail, some of the basic bike health checks and the measures to take to maintain the bike. I learnt how to clean the chain and lubricate it, tune and adjust the disc brakes and gears, and fix minor issues to keep the bike in a healthy shape. He advised me whether I should get the bike serviced or not which I'm sure most novice bikers cannot decide sometimes given that it could cost much. All of this at no cost was a surprise, so make sure you donate to this great team and their initiative.

Polite patient staff that I also saw dealing with some customers who were obviously not bike savvy - in a helpful informative way and without being at all condescending.
